Insurance For Nonprofits

When we opened S. Wolf 13 years ago it was to serve, educate, and give attention to nonprofit organizations of all shapes and all sizes. Over and over we have seen nonprofits overlooked in the commercial insurance industry. The most common reason seemed to be a fundamental lack of understanding of not only each individual organization but a lack of understanding of what nonprofit insurance is. There is no one size fits all policy. Each organization is unique and in turn needs it's individual needs met. This does not happen unless there is time taken to truly understand the organization. What is the mission? Who does the organization serve? How is this mission carried out on a daily basis? By staff? By Volunteers? How is the organization funded? By private donations? Grants? Programming? Or a mix of all of these? Governing this mission is the board of directors who require their own coverage.
Only after the organization and its needs are truly understood can the correct insurance coverage be recommended. This provides vital coverage to all the parts that make up the organization as a whole. The correct coverage can also be what propels the organization forward and unlocks unlimited opportunities.
After 13 years and serving thousands of nonprofits we still come across organizations carrying out missions that are unique and new to us. Nothing makes us happier!
We want to have conversations with as many organizations as we can and learn how we can help each of them succeed and flourish.
